This structure carries crane rails down its sides. Supporting an overhead crane is a different engineering problem from supporting a roof — the columns take moving vertical load plus the lateral surge of a crane stopping and starting, so the frame is designed for it from the outset.
Retrofitting crane capability into a frame that was not designed for it is expensive and often impossible. If there is any prospect of a crane, it belongs in the brief at enquiry stage.
